This song is about George W. Bush. Blessed with his father’s name, he won his first election partially because people thought “his father was okay, maybe he’ll cope too”. However, their “favourite son” turned out to be a disappointment. He’s a star, smiling on the silver screen and giving speeches, but what he’s doing with his power is frightening. This song was recorded during American Idiot, but released on ‘Rock Against Bush’ volume 2 in August 2004, then released again as a b-side to 21 Guns in 2009.
