Falling is the first of two singles taken from Julee Cruise's 1989 debut album Floating into the Night along with Rockin' Back Inside My Heart. The track was composed by Angelo Badalamenti, with lyrics by David Lynch. Falling went on to become the instrumental theme for the TV series "Twin Peaks" and won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental. The song reached #11 on the US Modern Rock charts, #7 in the UK charts and #1 on the Australian singles charts.
