"Everything Happens for a Reason" is the tenth track on OK Human. It is a short instrumental. Rivers Cuomo alluded to the song's existence to fans through the chat website Riverchat in August of 2020, mentioning that it was the song he was most excited for fans to hear. On September 22, however, he confirmed via Riverchat that the song (along with "Spell It Out") had been removed from the track list, adding that "it doesn't work going into bird" (referring to the track Bird with a Broken Wing).
