Du riechst so gut ( Eng: you smell so good) is the band’s first single released on the 24th of August 1995, also acting as a lead single from their debut album Herzeleid (1995.) The song describes the wolffish thoughts of a predator, some implying the song is about an attempted non consensual intercourse. The title is said to be inspired by Till Lindemann’s favorite novel: Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (German: Das Parfum: Die Geschichte eines Mörders) by Patrick Süskind.
