'Down On You' is a Beatlesque composition written and recorded by James Justin. Bass guitar added by Jerry Sintich. Both James Justin and Jerry Sintich are former members of the Canadian power pop band Vinyl Sun. 'Down On You' draws heavily on a Beatles influence, in particular, the introspective and stark lyrical styling's of John Lennon. 'Down On You' was first released as a lo-fi acoustic version originally recorded as a pre-production demo for band members in Vinyl Sun.
