Double Music was written in collaboration with Lou Harrison and is dated "4/41 San Francisco." The two composers agreed to write 200 measures for percussion duet and combined the four parts to create Double Music. The piece calls for brakedrums, sistra, gongs, tam-tams, and thundersheet.
