"Do Ya Wanna Funk" is a Hi-NRG electronic dance song written by Patrick Cowley and Sylvester James and recorded by American recording artist Sylvester. The song was released in 1982 from the Sylvester album "All I Need" and it was produced by Patrick Cowley, who incidentally died the same year. It peaked at number 21 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs. "Do Ya Wanna Funk" was mostly successful in Europe, especially Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway (where it became a top-10 hit) and even in the United Kingdom where it made the top 40.
