Desensitized is the second track to Green Day's special compilation album, Shenanigans. The origin of the song is that it originally appeared on the Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) single, and is also the only track to appear on both the Japanese and Australian versions of Nimrod. As a single, it was only released on vinyl, and is only available in the Green Day Vinyl Singles Box Set. The song also includes a feature from the bassist Mike Dirnt, who does the screaming at the beginning of the song.
