"Deer in the Headlights" is a song by American electronic project Owl City. The song was released on May 23, 2011 as the first promotional single from Owl City's third studio album All Things Bright and Beautiful. The song was written and produced by frontman Adam Young. In promotion of the single, a music video was released on June 30, 2011. It was directed by Steve Hoover and was inspired by the 1985 science fiction film Back to the Future and was shot in parts of Mint Canyon, Santa Clarita.
