Death Grips already posted the title of the track, “Death Grips Is Online”, in September 2017 as a first sign in the prelude to “Year of the Snitch“. After the post, the phrase became a meme among their fan base. This was further fueled by the band’s Twitter account with a storm of retweets of such fan posts. The intro track to Death Grips' sixth studio album is driven by Zach’s electronic drumming, distorted guitars, and scratching noises on top of which MC Ride aggressively delivers his vocals.
