"Dear Diary" is the closing track from Britney Spears's sophomore album, Oops!... I Did It Again (2000). Spears makes her own songwriting debut on the modest, keyboard-driven ballad "Dear Diary", which she said was autobiographical. On the track, she sings about wanting to become "so much more than friends" with a boy.
