"David" is a song by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, serving as the final track from her fourth studio album, Virgin (2025). Lorde says in an interview with Zane Lowe that on this song, she feels completely vulnerable, with her vocals sounding so human to her. "I felt this journey happening through the song, it sort of comes to this big quite machine-made climax, there’s something very almost immortal about and then I’m back to being really mortal again at the end.
