"Dancing in the Moonlight" is a song written in 1969 by American musician Sherman Kelly that he recorded (singing lead) in 1970 with his band Boffalongo (who were active from 1968 to 1971, the song being the band's final single). Also released by British band High Broom in 1970 (on Island Records) but also not a success, the song is now most associated with French-American rock group King Harvest (who released the song in 1972) and English band Toploader (who had a worldwide hit with their version in 2000).
