Damnation Alley is a rhythmic song based on the book of the same name by Roger Zelazny (and, to a lesser extent, the movie loosely based on the aforementioned book). Its lyrics tell the tale of a man on a mission to deliver medical supplies while traversing the irradiated wasteland that is all that remains of the United States; the titular "Damnation Alley" is a narrow band of barely-habitable terrain that stretches from coast to coast, skirting the areas where radioactive fallout is most highly concentrated.
