Released on May 30th, 2019, “Crime Pays” served as the second single to the Freddie Gibbs and Madlib collaborative album "Bandana", and was released with a music video. The song features Gibbs trademark cocaine bars, a story about someone else from Gary, Indiana and an ending that is a diss towards former friend and owner of his previous label Jeezy.
