“cotton candy” is the fourth single from YUNGBLUD’s upcoming sophomore studio album, weird! In a press release for the song, the singer says the song is about sexual liberation, and how to him: "Sex and sexuality is about freedom and the idea that you can to lose yourself in other people of all genders, of all shapes and sizes, to find yourself and figure out who you truly are" The song talks about the singer having multiple sexual relationships and wanting to stick to one person in particular who he gets lost in.
