"Clearest Blue" is the third single, and titular track from the CHVRCHES album "Every Open Eye". The song was released on 10th September, 2015. According to Martin Doherty and Iain Cook, The song was originally meant to be laid-back, with only two chords. After coming up with the base sample, they bounced ideas around, with Doherty adding "nonsense vocals" to establish the basic cadences of the song.
