Picture yourself in medieval times sitting in a stadium watching jousting whilst trumpets play. There are wenches serving meade and the sky is cloudy. It is uncomfortably cold and you will probably realize that you did not dress warmly enough, but that will not be until the effect of the meade wears off and your ears ache from the coldness.
