Ambient electronic music producer LRKR, born Alex Erker, draws inspiration from World Music in addition to often ignored sounds from everyday objects. A drummer at heart, LRKR focuses on rhythm to craft his sound. On top of that, he layers a combination of sampled strings and flutes, plus live sounds from trumpet, didgeridoo, piano and guitar. To LRKR, literally everything can be used to produce an interesting song –chains, lighters, water-filled cups, photocopiers, toothbrushes and singing
