The song was written by her father Marty Wilde and younger brother Ricky Wilde, who also produced the track. The song hit number 1 on South African charts and number 4 on the UK singles chart, where it was certified gold. The song was a top 10 hit in the Netherlands, West Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Australia, Sweden and Switzerland and has sold over a million copies worldwide.
