The song is sung entirely in Spanish and features backing vocals from Cabello's eight-year-old cousin Carolina, though she is not credited as a featured artist. The song is titled after Cuban-American salsa singer Celia Cruz. Celia Cruz created the catchphrase "¡Azucar!" ("Sugar!"), which is mentioned by Cabello on this song and "Bam Bam".
