“ceilings” is the eighth track on the singer’s second album "five seconds flat". The track was performed previous to the album’s release during her tour with dodie, where Lizzy served as the opening act. Lyrically, the song finds the singer-songwriter daydreaming about someone. There are several allusions to the situation being similar to, or even based on, an experience she’s had before with another person. She reveals in the outro this person is not real
