Catapult is a song by American rock band Counting Crows. It is the opening track for their 1996 sophmore album Recovering the Satellites. The song's lyrics deal with the pressure of fame that Counting Crows and Adam Duritz came under after the instant fame that their debut album, August and Everything After, brought them. An acoustic rendition of the song appears on the double-live album Across A Wire, as well as a regular live version of the track on their 2006 live album New Amsterdam: Live at Heineken Music Hall.
