This was the first song written for Reincarnate. The background of the lyrics are based around one of Chris' heroes (Brandan Schieppati of Bleeding Through) telling him to ‘carry the torch’. In a Spotify commentary, Chris revealed that the beginning of this song (the instrumental intro) was originally going to be the beginning of the Creatures album.
