It spent 3 weeks at #1 on the US Hot R&B Singles chart & peaked at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 4 consecutive weeks between March & April 1995. It was held off the summit by Madonna's "Take A Bow" which held the #1 spot for 7 weeks.
