The Call My Name Songfacts says the song was turned down by Rita Ora before being offered to Cheryl, as the "R.I.P" singer didn’t want to go down the dance route with her music. “Call My Name” is the first single from Cheryl's third studio album “A Million Lights”. Produced by DJ Calvin Harris it was Cheryl's 3rd UK No.1 when released in June 2012. “As soon as I heard the intro to the Calvin track I knew I had to have it. I love the energy of it and it's the perfect introduction to summer” she says of the track.
