“Cake” is the 16th and final deluxe track on Melanie Martinez’s album, Cry Baby. The song ‘Cake’ is about Melanie and a boy having all the chemistry it takes to be in a relationship, but he just wants to have sex with her and does not want a real relationship. She refuses to let him have sex with her because she knows that once she does, he will leave her behind. She decides to break up with him before he can break up with her. She states that if he considers her a "cake" then she considers him "meat"
