Ghost Ghost bass player Kevin Peckham originally wrote Cadmium Red in the summer of 2000 while working as a finish carpenter on the island of Nantucket. The name of the song Cadmium Red refers to a color of paint used by an artist friend of his at the time. Recording Notes Cadmium Red was recorded by Kevin Peckham, Karl Ward, and Tim Ireland in the autumn of 2008 at Trout Studios in Brooklyn, NY. The track was mixed by Ward, Peckham and Ireland with help from Adam Chimera at Chimera Studios.
