“Buzzcut Season” is about teenagers being driven crazy by the darkness of war. Though the song is sung in a calm, happy manner, the real meaning is quite dark. It is about living in a nice place and being unaware of all the turmoil of war. The title, “Buzzcut Season,” refers to the buzzcuts all military soldiers are required to have.
