In the winter of 2005/2006 Fate finished recording their fifth studio album, V, with producer Tommy Hansen, who did Scratch 'N' Sniff back in 1990, as well as having produced bands like Helloween, Pretty Maids, TNT and many more. Peter Steincke about the album: "Good fun being back! Very happy about the new songs and the present line-up. Let's see what happens next ..." Per Johansson: "It's funny being together and working with Peter Steincke as the only original member left from the beginning of FATE.
