Simply put, most of the song was about a girl I had been flirting with for a short while that also liked me, until she changed her mind suddenly thinking she was too wild for me (which might have been the case). The last part of the song was written about a friend I've had for about 10 years, and I always had a bit of a crush on her; it was essentially saying "I do all this stuff for you and you often ignore me.
