"BREAK ME DOWN" sees Jessie finally come to realize that their relationship is officially over and there is no going back. She’s well aware of the fact that things never were perfect between them, but now that it’s all over, she can’t help but to wish for a possible reunion. So, to no longer waste time wishing for something that won’t come true, she’s asking him to finish her off completely, whatever that might look like. This is also a way of testing his love for her or what’s left off it.
