'Brackish' is the debut single of the nu metal band Kittie. It was initially released in 1999 and was on their debut studio album 'Spit', the 5th track on it. Morgan Lander (singer) has said that the lyrics of 'Brackish' are "commentary on a friend of the band’s and the relationship that she was in at the time. We didn’t necessarily think it was a good one, and a lot of those lyrics were representative of our feelings towards that situation."
