Botheration is a song from Abikyokan's 2006 album Zuper. It is an attempt at a robotic blues, and was one of the first songs written during live shows by the band after their drummer and bass player left. The song's minimalist sound and cold dynamics were a deliberate fresh start after the dense, overwrought sounds of previous album Delayer and the bands noisy and chaotic live shows of that period. The lyrics are an observation of the conservative and retrograde bands the band had often met on the same bill at live shows
