Calm Paradox's Michelle Kennedy wrote her first single "Boots" at age 15, trying to imagine what an affair with a married man would be like. The song is not autobiographical in any way, something that Kennedy's mother wants everyone to know at every available opportunity. Kennedy herself is indifferent to outside opinions on the matter, however she has repeatedly stated that she thinks cheaters are "dirtbags" and "scoundrels."
