It was released on July 26, 1989 as the second single from Alannah's self-titled debut album. The song is featured on video game Grand Theft Auto V (2013) as a song on the in-game radio station "Los Santos Rock Radio." The song is a paean to Elvis Presley. His voice was distinctive for the time and could be described as "black velvet".
