London band The Tamborines return with the Black and Blue 7″. It’s a slightly re-jigged group from the one that performed on last year’s debut album Camera & Tremor but maintains their knack for sweet melody and guitars soaked with distortion. Imagine a strung-out version of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and we are getting close. Front man Henrique Laurindo has a whispered vocal, his guitar on the other-hand runs at a speedy pace, along with relentless rhythms and shrieking refrains.
