“Binz” features contributions from R&B legend The-Dream as well from as the renowned experimental pop artist Panda Bear of Animal Collective. The song "Didn’t Want to Have to Do It” by Rotary Connection is sampled at the tail-end of the track. Topically, Solange sings about getting money and living lavishly while breaking the stereotype of black people being poor. Additionally, in a partnership with Sonos, “Binz” was featured in a viral commercial promoting the Sonos home sound system.
