This was the last single released from the first Basement Jaxx album, which was a wildly successful debut for the British act. "Bingo Bango" followed "Red Alert" and "Rendez-Vu" as #1 hits on the US dance chart; all three songs also had impressive showings on the UK pop chart. This song began life as a Latin house track. The "Bingo Bango" hook was added later - it was inspired by a dance song called "Go Bang" released in 1982 by Dinosaur L.
