“Better Than That” is the 9th track of Marina's third studio album FROOT (2015). The track is a spiritual successor to Electra Heart’s “Homewrecker”, detailing Marina’s perception of a woman who fits into the ‘homewrecker’ archetype. It’s one of the first songs that Marina wrote for the record and it represented a shift in her direction that set the mood for the rest of the songs. It was described as “sassy” and “a future heavy-hitter, doused in wah-wah axes and classic funk and rock delvings” by The Line of Best Fit.
