"Better Days," with its dissonant keys floating in and out of the mix to kick off the track, laid-back drum grove and bluesy saxophone and trumpet lines brings all of Blessett's influences and musical tastes into one place for the listener to enjoy. Sometimes utilizing more than a few genres in one's writing can be tough to maintain a cohesive thread that brings everything together, but Blessett is a master at mixing styles to form a unique, yet tied-together sound that is as enjoyable as it is engaging.
