"Best Song Ever" is a dance pop/power pop song recorded by the British-Irish boy band One Direction. It was released on 22 July 2013 by Syco and Columbia. The opening and chrous of the song incorporates the power chords also used by The Who's "Baba O'Riley", played by guitarist Pete Townshend (who praised 1D's track). The song became available for pre-order on iTunes on 26 June. After being leaked, the song's audio was uploaded to VEVO on 19 July.
