basically, this song is about this woman who loves and trusts both her man and her best friend, only to discover- after hearing through the grapevine and having confrimation by the both of them- that infact they we sleeping together behind her back. she tells of how her heart is aching terribly and how she cant take her man back because the thought of her man and best friend making love etc haunts her. she also speaks of how her man is pleading with her to take him back and forgive him, but she wont have a bar of it!
