Back in 1995 there was a single’s war between two Brit Pop bands: Blur and Oasis. I was most definitely a Blur fan and bought their single ‘Country House’ to help get them to the top spot, leaving Oasis’ ‘Roll With It’ coming in at second place. I was so passionate about music in the mid nineties, only 13 years old and discovering bands like Longpigs and Radiohead, and would do anything I could to help champion the bands I loved.
