"Because of You" is a song by singer-songwriter Ne-Yo. It was written by Ne-Yo & Stargate who produced the song for Ne-Yo's second studio album of the same name. The song started receiving radio play on the week of February 4, 2007 resulting in it being released on February 13, 2007 as the album's lead single. The song's lyrics describe the need to be with more than one person, and the hardship in maintaining a relationship whilst also encountering sexual liaisons with another.
