“Baseball” is the opening track of Hippo Campus' third EP Warm Glow. The track has been played at Hippo Campus shows for a long time prior to release, with the first recorded live version posted on May 3, 2016. It was originally set to be the closing track on Landmark, but was replaced with “Buttercup” relatively late in the recording process. Nathan Stocker, the band guitarist touched on this decision more: We always wanted it to be out in the world, doing its thing.
