"Baby It's You" is a song originally written by Burt Bacharach for the girl group The Shirelles. It had been a regular part of The Beatles' live set since 1961, and recorded for their debut album Please Please Me, released in 1963. It features John Lennon on lead vocals, with backing vocals provided by Paul McCartney and George Harrison. In addition to being the producer, George Martin also plays celesta on this track.
