The closing track of "Cavalcade", “Ascending Forth” was originally known as “Nylon” and played live in 2019. An ascending fourth is the perfect fourth of a note, raising, or ascending in pitch. Ascending fourths sound rather sentimental and happy. Markus writes nothing but pages filled with this kitschy interval. Also, the title of this track and some lyrics in the final chorus are a pun on the name of this interval (ascending fourth/ascending forth).
