Apartment is the sixth track on the UK version of David's first, self-titled album. Its Bossa Nova rhythm sets it apart from the other tracks and, coupled with the vehemently soothing and harmonious melody, makes this track one of the strongest on the album. The second half of the song is made up of a striking instrumental, leading to a crescendo that wouldn't be out of place in the Albert Hall. Improvised or scored, this is David and his band at their best.
