In 2007 Matthew was living in an old house in Cape Town, the wooden floor boards on the second floor made a booming sound when you walked over them. Matthew recorded himself stomping on the floor boards and used the sound as the kick drum on the track. The clinking is a beer bottle being hit by spoon in the same room, because we all know that beer helps the creative process! The sound that kicks in the final crescendo is an elevator servo motor.
